Best filtration upgrade I've made
This media is incredibly dense yet allows water to flow through perfectly. My tank water has never been clearer. The fact that it is glue-free gives me peace of mind for my sensitive fish.

Great value and very durable
I cut this to fit my custom sump. It holds up well after multiple rinses and doesn't fall apart like cheaper foams. Highly recommended for large setups.

Solid performance
Does exactly what it says. Traps debris effectively and provides great surface area for beneficial bacteria. Took off one star only because it was a bit tough to cut with standard scissors.

Easy to use for beginners
I was worried about setting up my first filter correctly, but this media is forgiving. Just rinse it and place it in the tray. My ammonia levels dropped quickly.

A: Yes, the media is designed to be easily cut with scissors or a utility knife to fit any standard or custom filter compartment.
Q: Does this replace activated carbon?
A: No, this is primarily for mechanical and biological filtration. For chemical filtration, we suggest using this media alongside a separate layer of activated carbon.
Q: Is this safe for shrimp and sensitive invertebrates?
A: Absolutely. Since it is glue-free and made from inert synthetic fibers, it releases no harmful chemicals and is safe for all aquatic life including shrimp.
