Good quality, slightly tight at first
The material feels durable and heat resistant. It was a bit difficult to slide on initially, but once installed, it stays in place well.

Easy installation for beginners
I was worried about installing this myself, but it slipped right on. Makes the printer look cleaner and safer to touch around the hotend area.

Perfect fit for my Anycubic i3 Mega
This silicone cover fits the heater block perfectly. It helped stabilize my temperatures during ABS prints and protects against accidental burns.

Does the job well
Simple product that does what it says. The silicone is thick enough to provide good insulation without melting near the heating element.

Great value for money
Works exactly as described. Much cheaper than buying branded versions but performs just as well. My extruder stays hot and efficient.

Essential upgrade for temperature stability
Noticed immediate improvement in temperature consistency. No more fan cooling affecting the hotend. Highly recommended for anyone printing with high-temp filaments.
Q: Do I need to remove the part cooling fan to install this?
A: No removal is necessary. You can simply slide the silicone sock over the heater block while the fan is in place, though loosening the fan screws slightly might make it easier.
Q: Is this an original E3D product or a compatible third-party item?
A: This is a high-quality third-party compatible component designed to meet the specifications of the E3D V5 system. It is not manufactured by E3D Ltd.
Q: Will this fit the standard E3D V6 hotend?
A: This specific model is designed for the E3D V5 and Anycubic i3 Mega extruders. For V6 hotends, please check our store for the V6 compatible version.
Q: Can this withstand PLA and PETG printing temperatures?
A: Yes, absolutely. This silicone cover is rated up to 300°C, which is well above the typical printing temperatures for PLA, PETG, ABS, and Nylon.
Q: How often should I replace the silicone cover?
A: Under normal usage, these covers last a long time. You should only replace it if you notice signs of degradation, tearing, or if it becomes too loose to stay in position.
