Great durability, slight flow adjustment needed

The build quality is excellent and feels very robust. I did have to tweak my flow rate slightly compared to my brass nozzle, but once dialed in, the prints are flawless.

Bulk buy for our lab

Perfect for carbon fiber prints

Good value for money

Works as advertised. Installation was straightforward using the included wrench. Only giving 4 stars because it takes a bit longer to heat up than brass, but that's expected with steel.

Consistent extrusion

Very impressed with the consistency of extrusion. The internal bore looks very smooth under magnification. It handles high-temperature filaments like ABS and Nylon with ease.

Q: Does this come with a cleaning needle?

A: No, this package includes only the hardened steel nozzle. Cleaning tools are sold separately or may be included with your main printer kit.

Q: Will this affect print speed compared to a brass nozzle?

A: There may be a negligible difference in thermal conductivity, but in practical testing, print speeds remain largely unaffected. You might need to adjust temperature settings by +5°C to +10°C.

Q: What is the recommended torque for installation?

A: We recommend tightening the nozzle to approximately 3-4 Nm while the hot end is heated to about 200°C to ensure a proper seal without stripping threads.

Q: Is this nozzle compatible with the original Snapmaker 2.0?

A: No, this nozzle is specifically designed for the Snapmaker U1 Hot End Kit. The threading and dimensions differ from the Snapmaker 2.0 series.

Q: Can I use this with glow-in-the-dark filament?

A: Yes, absolutely. Glow-in-the-dark filaments are abrasive and will quickly wear down brass nozzles. This hardened steel nozzle is ideal for such materials.
