Long lasting value
Initially thought the price was high compared to brass nozzles, but considering I don't have to replace it every few prints, it's actually much cheaper in the long run. Great for office prototyping with composite materials.

Stopped the clogging issues
My old brass nozzle wore out in two days using wood-fill filament. This hardened steel version has been running smooth for weeks. The 0.4mm hole size is accurate and produces clean layers.

Solid build quality
Very well made. The black oxide coating looks professional. I deducted one star only because it took a bit longer to heat up than expected, but performance is excellent once at temperature.

Great durability, needs higher temp
The nozzle is very robust and handles my glass-filled nylon well. Just note that you may need to increase your printing temperature by about 5-10 degrees compared to a brass nozzle due to different thermal conductivity.

Perfect for abrasive filaments
I switched to this hardened steel nozzle specifically for printing with carbon fiber PLA. After 500 grams of print time, there is absolutely no wear on the tip. Highly recommended for anyone moving beyond standard PLA.
Q: Is this nozzle compatible with the E3D V6 clone hotends?
A: Yes, as long as the clone uses the standard M6 thread and geometry, this nozzle should fit correctly.
Q: Does this come with a wrench for installation?
A: No, the package includes only the nozzle. You will need your own 7mm socket or nozzle wrench to install it.
Q: Can I use this for printing pure metal filaments?
A: This nozzle is designed for abrasive composites like carbon fiber or glass-filled plastics. It is not suitable for printing pure metal filaments which require specialized extruders and much higher temperatures.
Q: Do I need to change my retraction settings when switching from brass to steel?
A: Minor adjustments might be needed. Since steel has different thermal properties, some users find slightly increasing retraction distance helps prevent oozing.
Q: What is the maximum safe operating temperature?
A: The hardened steel material can withstand up to 300°C safely. Please ensure your hotend heater and thermistor are also rated for these temperatures.
