Perfect replacement for abrasive filaments

Solid performance

Does exactly what it is supposed to do. The steel nozzle is definitely more durable than brass. Only giving 4 stars because the included thermal paste tube was almost empty, but otherwise a great product.

Great value for money

Much cheaper than buying directly from the main manufacturer but performs just as well. My PETG prints look smoother and the layer adhesion is perfect. Highly recommend for P1 series owners.

Good quality but runs slightly hotter

The build quality is excellent and fits perfectly on my P1S. I noticed the temperature reading seems to run about 3-5 degrees higher than the brass original, so I adjusted my profiles slightly. Once calibrated, prints are great.

Essential upgrade for engineering materials

If you plan on printing anything with glass fiber or metal fill, this is a must-have. The hardened steel holds up incredibly well. No clogging issues so far after 200 hours of printing.

Q: What is the maximum safe temperature for continuous printing?

A: While the components can withstand up to 300°C, we recommend keeping continuous printing temperatures below 280°C to ensure the longevity of the thermistor and heater cartridge.

Q: Is this compatible with the Bambu Lab A1 mini?

A: No, this hotend assembly is designed specifically for the X1 and P1 series. The A1 mini uses a different toolhead design.

Q: How often should I replace the steel nozzle compared to brass?

A: Hardened steel nozzles typically last 5 to 10 times longer than brass nozzles, especially when printing abrasive materials. For non-abrasive filaments, they can last indefinitely unless physically damaged.

Q: Does this come with a new silicone sock?

A: This assembly includes the heater block and nozzle, but the silicone sock is sold separately. We recommend reusing your existing one if it is in good condition or purchasing a high-temp sock.

Q: Can I use this nozzle with standard PLA without changing settings?

A: Yes, you can print standard PLA. However, because steel conducts heat differently than brass, you might need to increase the printing temperature by 5-10°C for optimal flow.
