Best value extruder kit
Compared to OEM parts, this offers better thermal stability at half the price. The cooling fan mount is sturdy and keeps the heat break cool effectively.

Solid construction for abrasive filaments
I needed something durable for printing with carbon-fiber filled PLA. This hardened steel setup handles it like a champ. No wear visible after 2kg of filament.

Works great after initial setup
As a beginner, I found the installation slightly challenging, but customer support helped me via email. Now my prints are much smoother with no under-extrusion.

Good but required tuning
The part fits well, but I had to recalibrate my E-steps and temperature PID settings. It's not a direct plug-and-play for everyone, but performance is good once tuned.

Great quality, instructions could be better
The build quality of the nozzle and heater block is top-notch. However, the included manual was a bit vague on the wiring diagram. Once figured out, it works flawlessly.

Perfect upgrade for my Prusa i3
This all-metal kit solved my clogging issues immediately. The heat distribution is excellent, and I can now print at higher temperatures without worry. Installation took about 20 minutes.
Q: Does the kit include a thermal paste?
A: No, thermal paste is not included in the box. We recommend applying a high-quality thermal compound between the heater block and the heat sink during assembly for optimal performance.
Q: My printer uses a 24V power supply, will this work?
A: Yes, this kit comes with a 24V heater cartridge pre-installed. Please double-check your specific unit upon arrival, as we also stock 12V versions separately.
Q: What is the length of the heat break?
A: The heat break included in this kit has a standard length of 40mm, which fits most V6-style and MK8-style hotend mounts commonly used on Prusa derivatives.
Q: Is this compatible with the original Prusa i3 MK2?
A: Yes, this MK8 style all-metal extruder is fully compatible with the Prusa i3 MK2 and MK2.5 models, provided you have the standard M6 threaded hotend setup.
Q: Can I use this with Nylon filament?
A: While the hardware can reach the necessary temperatures, we recommend ensuring your printer's firmware and power supply support sustained high-temperature printing before using Nylon.
