Perfect for abrasive filaments
I switched to this hardened steel hotend specifically for printing carbon fiber nylon, and it has been flawless. The upgrade from the standard brass nozzle was necessary, and this assembly makes the swap incredibly easy.

Solid performance
We use this in our small production setup. It handles continuous printing of glass-filled PETG very well. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the price, but the durability justifies the cost.

Peace of mind
Even though I mostly print PLA, knowing I have a hardened steel hotend installed gives me peace of mind if I accidentally run some abrasive material through. The silicone sock fits perfectly too.

Great quality, slightly tight fit
The build quality is excellent and feels very robust. Installation was straightforward, though the connector felt a bit tight on my P1P initially. After one print cycle, it seated perfectly. Highly recommend for high-temp materials.

Essential upgrade for X1C
If you plan on doing any serious engineering-grade printing, get this immediately. The temperature stability is impressive, and I haven't had a single clog since installing it three weeks ago.

Easy installation
I was worried about replacing the hotend myself, but the detachable design makes it foolproof. Took me less than 10 minutes. Prints look just as good as they did with the original, but now I can use ASA without worry.
Q: How often should I replace the nozzle on this assembly?
A: While the hardened steel is much more durable than brass, we recommend inspecting the nozzle every 500 hours of printing with abrasive materials. Replace it if you notice inconsistent extrusion or widening of the aperture.
Q: Does this come with a new thermistor or do I reuse the old one?
A: This is a complete detachable assembly, so it comes pre-installed with a new high-temperature thermistor and heater cartridge. You do not need to transfer any parts from your old hotend.
Q: Is this compatible with the Bambu Lab A1 mini?
A: No, this hotend assembly is specifically designed for the X1C, P1P, and P1S models. The A1 series uses a different extruder architecture.
Q: Can I print Polycarbonate (PC) with this hotend?
A: Yes, the hardened steel construction and upgraded heating element support temperatures up to 300°C, which is suitable for printing Polycarbonate and other high-temperature engineering filaments.
Q: Do I need to recalibrate the flow rate after installation?
A: It is highly recommended to run the flow rate calibration and sound resonance calibration in the printer settings after installing any new hotend to ensure optimal print quality.
