Great plant, needs lots of water

The quality of the seedlings is excellent. Just be aware that if you don't keep them very wet, they wilt quickly. I moved mine to a container that sits in a tray of water and now they are thriving. Deducting one star only because the care instructions could be more prominent regarding water levels.

Easy for beginners

I have never grown water spinach before, but these 'three-fork' seedlings made it so easy. They are robust and forgiving. Even though I missed watering them one day, they bounced right back. Looking forward to making kang kong belacan soon!

Perfect for stir-fries

As someone who cooks Asian cuisine often, having fresh water spinach is a game changer. These plants are vigorous growers. I've already harvested twice just by snipping the tops, and they keep coming back thicker. Very high yield for the price.

Impressive growth rate

Planted these in a large pot on my balcony. The growth rate is insane; I can literally see them growing day by day in the summer heat. The leaves are tender and delicious. Will definitely order more next season to expand my patch.

Good value, slight shipping delay

The plants themselves are fantastic quality and exactly as described. My only issue was a slight delay in shipping which left them in the box an extra day, but they still survived and are growing well. The root systems were very established upon arrival.

Arrived healthy and grew instantly!

I was worried about ordering live plants online, but these seedlings arrived incredibly well-packaged with moist soil. Within two days of planting them in my backyard pond edge, they started putting out new shoots. The three-fork variety really does produce larger leaves than the standard kind I've grown before.

Q: How do I harvest without killing the plant?

A: Water spinach is a cut-and-come-again crop. Simply snip the stems about 2-3 inches above the soil line, leaving some nodes behind. New shoots will emerge from those nodes within a few days, allowing for multiple harvests.

Q: What makes the 'Three-Fork' variety different?

A: The Three-Fork variety is selected for its larger, broader leaves and thicker stems compared to the narrow-leaf varieties. It also tends to branch out more aggressively at the nodes, resulting in a higher overall yield per plant.

Q: Will these survive winter in Zone 7?

A: Water spinach is tropical and sensitive to frost. In Zone 7, they will likely die back when temperatures drop below freezing. We recommend growing them in pots so you can move them indoors or into a greenhouse during the winter months.
