Perfect for portable Arduino projects
This module works exactly as described. I used it to power an Arduino Nano for a weather station project, and the 5V output is stable even when the battery drains slightly. The charging indicator lights are very helpful.

Must-have for IoT devices

Reliable power solution

Easy to integrate
I was worried about wiring this up, but the pin layout is standard and easy to understand. My 18650 battery charges safely, and my sensor array runs without any voltage drops.

Solid performance

Good value, compact design
Great little board for the price. It fits nicely into small enclosures. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the soldering pads are a bit small for beginners, but otherwise, it functions perfectly.
Q: Can I use this to power a Raspberry Pi Zero?
A: Yes, the 5V 1A output is sufficient to power a Raspberry Pi Zero under normal operating conditions. However, if you attach many high-power peripherals, ensure your total draw does not exceed 1000mA.
Q: Is the charging current fixed at 500mA?
A: The default charging current is set to approximately 500mA by the onboard resistor. Advanced users can modify this value by replacing the specific programming resistor, referring to the TP4056 datasheet.
Q: What happens if I connect a 5V source to the output pins?
A: Please do not connect an external 5V source to the output pins while the battery is connected, as this may damage the boost converter circuit. The output is strictly for supplying power to your load.
Q: Can this module charge two 18650 batteries in parallel?
A: This module is designed specifically for a single 18650 cell. Connecting multiple cells in parallel requires careful matching and is not recommended with this specific board configuration.
Q: Does this come with the 18650 battery included?
A: No, the package includes only the PCB module. You will need to purchase a protected or unprotected 18650 lithium-ion battery separately.
