Robust Industrial Prototype Board
We used this for prototyping an industrial control interface. The FMC headers allowed us to connect our custom I/O cards easily. It has been running continuously in our lab for three weeks without any stability issues.

Good value but check power requirements
The board works great, but make sure you use a high-quality 12V power supply. I initially had some instability with a generic adapter, but switching to the recommended spec solved it immediately. The HDMI output is crisp and reliable.

Best teaching board in its class

Excellent for Computer Vision Projects

Great hardware, steep learning curve
The build quality is excellent and all ports function as expected. However, beginners should be prepared to spend time understanding the Yocto build system if they want to customize the OS. For the price, it offers incredible value compared to other Zynq boards.

Perfect for Zynq Learning
This board is exactly what I needed to transition from pure FPGA logic to embedded Linux development. The AC880 camera module integration worked out of the box with the provided device tree. Documentation is clear and the community support is active.
Q: Is the AC880 camera module included in the package or sold separately?
A: The AC880 camera module is sold separately. This listing is for the main development board only. However, the board features the dedicated MIPI CSI connector specifically designed to plug-and-play with the AC880 once purchased.
Q: What is the maximum resolution supported over HDMI?
A: The HDMI transmitter on the Zynq-7020 supports resolutions up to 1920x1080 at 60Hz. VGA output is also available simultaneously via the D-sub connector, typically mirroring the HDMI signal.
Q: Does this board come with a heatsink or fan for the Zynq chip?
A: The board includes a passive aluminum heatsink pre-installed on the XC7Z020 chip. For most standard applications, active cooling is not required, but the layout allows for easy addition of a small fan if needed for extreme overclocking or hot environments.
Q: Can I run Petalinux on this board instead of the provided Ubuntu image?
A: Yes, absolutely. The hardware is fully compatible with Xilinx Petalinux. We provide the necessary hardware description files (XSA) on our GitHub repository to help you build your own custom Petalinux distribution.
