DSI Screen support is a game changer
Finally, an affordable ESP board that supports MIPI DSI properly. I connected a 7-inch display and the frame rates are impressive. The PSRAM size is sufficient for most graphical applications. No heating issues even under load.

Good for learning advanced embedded systems
Bought this for my final year project. It's a bit more complex than the ESP32-S3, but the performance gain is worth it. The Ethernet stability is much better than using a separate module. Just wish it had WiFi built-in, but I understand the trade-off for the P4 architecture.

Excellent value for industrial prototyping
I needed a board with both Ethernet and a fast processor for a factory monitoring prototype. This board fits the bill perfectly. The build quality is typical Waveshare—solid and reliable. The dual USB ports are very convenient for debugging while powering peripherals.

Perfect for High-Performance IoT Projects
The ESP32-P4 module is a beast. The 400MHz clock speed makes UI rendering on the DSI screen incredibly smooth. The Ethernet port worked out of the box with the provided examples. Highly recommended for anyone needing more power than the standard ESP32.

Reliable for commercial prototypes
We use these for initial prototyping of our smart gateway devices. The consistent performance and the inclusion of the Ethernet PHY save us significant design time. The MicroSD slot is fast enough for logging data locally before transmission.

Great board, documentation could be better
Hardware quality is excellent. The RJ45 connector feels sturdy and the pin layout is logical. However, setting up the camera interface required some digging in the forums as the specific pin mapping wasn't immediately clear in the quick start guide. Once configured, it works flawlessly.
Q: Does this board support Wi-Fi connectivity?
A: No, the ESP32-P4 chip does not have integrated Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. This board focuses on high-performance computing, DSI display, and Ethernet connectivity. If you need Wi-Fi, you would need to add an external module via SPI or UART.
Q: Does the Ethernet port support PoE (Power over Ethernet)?
A: No, this development board does not support Power over Ethernet (PoE). The RJ45 port is for data communication only. You must power the board via the USB Type-C port or the VIN header pins.
Q: What voltage should I apply to the VIN pin if not using USB?
A: You can supply 5V DC to the VIN pin. The onboard regulator will handle the conversion to the required logic levels. Please ensure your power source can provide at least 1A for stable operation when driving displays or cameras.
Q: Can I connect two cameras simultaneously?
