Excellent value for embedded learning
Bought this for a university embedded systems course. The price point is unbeatable for a board with this many industrial interfaces. Compiling the kernel was straightforward using the provided toolchain.

Perfect for industrial gateway projects
The dual Ethernet and dual CAN-FD features work flawlessly out of the box. We used this board to prototype a factory data logger, and the stability has been impressive over two weeks of continuous operation.

Reliable domestic alternative

Great hardware, documentation needs improvement
The board itself is high quality and the Rockchip processor handles our custom Linux build well. However, the English documentation for the pinout mapping could be more detailed. Once figured out, it works great.

Solid choice for prototyping
Good boot times and responsive UI when running a lightweight desktop environment. The only minor issue is the Wi-Fi module is not included, but the GPIO headers make adding one easy.

Robust performance in harsh environments
We deployed these in a temperature-controlled cabinet that still gets quite warm. The board runs cool and stable. The CAN-FD implementation is exactly what we needed for our automotive testing rig.
Q: Does this board support real-time operating systems like RT-Thread?
A: Yes, the RK3506J architecture supports RT-Thread. You will need to configure the device tree specifically for your application, and our support team can provide the base DTS files upon request.
Q: Are the source codes for the BSP available?
A: Yes, we provide open-source access to the Board Support Package (BSP), including the U-Boot, Kernel, and rootfs build scripts on our official GitHub repository linked in the product manual.
Q: Is a heatsink included with the board?
A: No, a heatsink is not included in the standard package as the RK3506J is designed for low power consumption. However, there are mounting holes available if you wish to attach a passive heatsink for extreme conditions.
Q: What is the maximum baud rate supported by the CAN-FD ports?
A: The dual CAN-FD controllers support data phase speeds up to 5 Mbps and arbitration phase speeds up to 1 Mbps, compliant with the ISO 11898-1 standard.
Q: Can I power this board directly from a 24V industrial supply?
A: No, the board requires a regulated 5V input. Connecting 24V directly will damage the unit. Please use an external 24V-to-5V DC-DC converter before connecting to the terminal block or Type-C port.
