Perfect for edge AI applications
We are using this for a vision inspection system. The dual camera interfaces work flawlessly with our custom sensors. The NPU acceleration on the T536 handles our inference models well without needing an external accelerator. Highly recommended for embedded vision.

Good value for money
Compared to similar international boards, this offers better specs for the price. The inclusion of both HDMI and LVDS is very helpful for legacy screen integration. My only minor complaint is that the Wi-Fi antenna connector is a bit tight, but that's a small issue.

Solid build quality
Received the board yesterday and immediately tested the GPIO headers and Ethernet ports. Everything works as expected. The PCB layout is clean, and the components feel high-quality. It's rare to find such a capable domestic board with full open-source support potential.

Reliable for long-term projects
We have been running a stress test on this board for two weeks straight at 70°C ambient temperature. No throttling, no crashes. The thermal design is effective. If you need a board for harsh environments, this is the one to get.

Excellent for industrial prototyping
The T536 chip offers a great balance between performance and power efficiency. The RISC-V co-processor is a nice touch for handling real-time tasks while the A55 cores manage the main OS. Boot times are fast, and the industrial temperature rating gives me confidence for factory deployment.

Great hardware, documentation needs work
The board itself is robust and the pinout matches the Raspberry Pi standard perfectly, making migration easy. However, some of the English documentation for the specific Allwinner BSP could be more detailed. Once you get past the initial setup, it runs very stably.
Q: Is the source code for the bootloader available?
A: Yes, in line with our open-source commitment for developers, the U-Boot source code and kernel patches specific to the T536 adaptation are available on our GitHub repository linked in the product wiki.
Q: Is the 40-pin header fully compatible with Raspberry Pi 4 HATs?
A: Yes, the 40-pin GPIO header follows the Raspberry Pi physical layout and voltage standards (3.3V logic). Most standard HATs will work, though you should verify software drivers for specific peripherals as the underlying SoC architecture differs.
Q: Can I power this board via PoE?
A: The standard board does not include an onboard PoE module. However, there is a dedicated header for connecting an external PoE HAT or module. Please refer to the schematic for pin definitions if you plan to add this functionality.
Q: What is the maximum resolution supported on the HDMI output?
A: The HDMI 2.0 interface supports up to 4K resolution at 60Hz. It also supports HDR10 and HDCP 2.2 for content protection if required by your application.
Q: Does this board support Ubuntu or only Android?
A: The Hezhong Hengyue T536 supports Android 12 out of the box. It also has official support for Buildroot and Debian-based Linux distributions. Community ports for Ubuntu are available but may require manual configuration.
