Compact powerhouse
Using the S3 version for a small robot controller. The dual-core processing handles motor control and sensor reading without lag. The small footprint allows it to fit inside tight chassis designs easily.

Solid board, minor heating under load
Overall a fantastic board for the price. I noticed it gets slightly warm when running Wi-Fi and Bluetooth simultaneously at high transmission power, but nothing concerning. Performance is excellent for home automation sensors.

Perfect size for wearable projects
The SuperMini form factor is exactly what I needed for my smartwatch prototype. The USB-C port makes programming incredibly easy without needing extra adapters. Wi-Fi connection is stable and the Bluetooth LE works flawlessly with my phone.

Great for workshops
We bought a bulk pack for our weekend workshop. Most students got them working immediately. One board had a slightly loose USB-C port, but the rest were perfect. Will buy again.

Great value for RISC-V learning
Bought the C3 version to experiment with RISC-V architecture. It compiles code quickly in ESP-IDF and the pinout is well documented. Highly recommend for students and hobbyists alike.

Easy to start with Arduino IDE
I was worried about driver issues, but it was recognized immediately on Windows 11. Uploading the Blink example took seconds. The community support for these chips is huge, making troubleshooting very easy.
Q: What is the difference between the C3 and S3 versions?
A: The ESP32-S3 generally offers more GPIO pins, AI vector instructions, and USB OTG support compared to the ESP32-C3. The C3 is a cost-effective single-core option, while the S3 is often dual-core with better peripheral support.
Q: Can I power this board with a 3.7V LiPo battery directly?
A: No, please do not connect a LiPo battery directly to the 5V or 3.3V pins. This board does not have a built-in battery charging circuit. You should use an external battery management module to regulate the voltage before connecting it to the board's VIN or 5V pin.
Q: Does this board support MicroPython out of the box?
A: The board hardware is fully compatible with MicroPython. However, you will need to flash the MicroPython firmware onto the device using a tool like esptool.py before you can start coding in Python.
Q: Which operating systems are supported for development?
A: You can develop on Windows, macOS, and Linux. The CH343 or CP210x USB-to-UART bridge drivers (depending on the specific batch) are widely available for all major OS platforms.
Q: Is the antenna removable for an external one?
A: This SuperMini version features a fixed on-board PCB antenna for compactness. It does not have an IPEX connector for an external antenna. For strong signal requirements in metal enclosures, consider our standard DevKit versions.
