Essential for IoT deployments
Deployed three of these for outdoor sensors. They handle the temperature variations well and the battery life is impressive with two 18650 cells.

Good but instructions could be better
The hardware quality is top-notch. However, the wiring diagram for external switches was a bit confusing. Once figured out, it works great.

Solid protection circuitry
Tested the over-discharge protection and it cuts off exactly as specified. This saves your expensive batteries from damage. Highly recommended for developers.

Great value, minor fit issue
The battery holder is sturdy and the voltage regulation is stable. I had to slightly adjust the GPIO pins to get a perfect fit on my case, but otherwise excellent.
Q: Does this board support Raspberry Pi 4?
A: No, this V3 board is specifically designed for the Raspberry Pi 3 and 3 B+ due to GPIO pin layout differences. Please check our V4 series for Pi 4 compatibility.
Q: What is the maximum current output?
A: The board can safely deliver up to 2.5A continuous current, which is sufficient for most Raspberry Pi 3 applications including peripherals.
Q: Is a heatsink required for long-term use?
A: Under normal operating conditions, no heatsink is required. The voltage regulator is efficient enough to dissipate heat without additional cooling.
Q: Can I use protected 18650 batteries with this holder?
A: Yes, the holder accommodates both protected and unprotected 18650 cells. However, since the board has built-in protection, unprotected cells are sufficient.
Q: How do I know when the batteries are fully charged?
A: There is a dedicated green LED labeled 'FULL' that illuminates steadily when the batteries reach 100% charge. The red LED turns off at this point.
