An Essential Resource for Sinologists
This four-volume set provides an incredibly detailed look into the evolution of Chinese rituals. The section on ancient sacrifices is particularly well-researched, offering insights that are hard to find in other English texts. Highly recommended for academic libraries.

Beautifully Printed but Dense
The quality of the paper and binding from Xinhua is excellent. The content is very thorough, perhaps too dense for a casual reader, but perfect for someone studying Chinese history or anthropology. The illustrations of clothing are fascinating.
