Great value, minor ink smell
As an adult beginner, I found this set very comprehensive. The ink stick produces a nice deep black, though it has a strong traditional smell at first. The storage rack is sturdy and looks elegant.

Excellent quality brushes
The mixed hair brushes hold their shape well even after multiple uses. My son enjoys practicing his characters every evening. The paper quality is also suitable for learning without bleeding too much.

Good for school projects
My child uses this for her weekly art club. The bamboo handles are comfortable to hold. The only reason for 4 stars is that the inkstone is a bit small, but it works fine for practice sessions.
