Beautiful but heavy
Absolutely gorgeous piece. The only reason for 4 stars is the weight; it's quite heavy to move around when full of water, but that also means it stays stable.

Stunning centerpiece for my tea table
The hammered texture catches the light beautifully. It is heavy and feels very premium. Perfect size for my daily Gongfu sessions without needing constant emptying.

Craftsmanship is top notch
You can tell this was made with care. The hammer marks are consistent and the edges are smooth. No sharp spots to catch clothes or towels.

Excellent quality brass
I was worried it might be thin metal, but this is solid. The antique finish looks authentic and adds a great traditional vibe to my home setup.

Perfect for large gatherings
The extra-large capacity is a game changer when hosting tea friends. We can go through several rounds of tea without worrying about overflowing the basin.

Exceeded expectations
Photos do not do it justice. The patina gives it an aged look that fits perfectly with my vintage teapots. Highly recommend for serious tea enthusiasts.
Q: Does this basin come with a drainage hole or plug?
A: This model is designed as a standalone vessel without a built-in drain plug. It is intended to be emptied manually by pouring out the water.
Q: Can I use hot water directly in this basin?
A: Absolutely. Solid brass conducts heat well and is safe for hot tea water. However, the basin itself may become warm to the touch after repeated use with boiling water.
Q: Is the interior smooth or does it have the hammered texture inside too?
A: The exterior features the decorative hammered texture, while the interior is smoothed to make cleaning and pouring out water easier.
Q: Will the brass tarnish over time?
A: Yes, natural brass will develop a patina over time which many users find adds character. If you prefer the shiny look, it can be polished with standard brass cleaner.
Q: What are the exact internal dimensions for fitting tea tools?
A: The internal usable space is approximately 13.5 inches in length and 9.8 inches in width, providing ample room for long tea brushes and tongs.
