Perfect upgrade from my old machine

I upgraded from the GS2700 and the difference is noticeable. The JD2799 handles thicker fabrics like denim much better, and the overlock function gives a professional finish to my hems. Highly recommended for home sewists.

Compact but powerful

Don't let the compact size fool you. This machine powers through multiple layers of fabric without jamming. The LED light is bright and makes working on dark fabrics easy. Love the automatic needle threader too.

Excellent for heavy duty projects

Best purchase for my hobby

Great value, minor learning curve

This is a solid machine for the price. The Japanese build quality feels sturdy. It took me a little while to figure out the tension settings for the overlock stitch, but once I got it right, the results were excellent.

Reliable workhorse

Used it daily for three months now. No issues whatsoever. The 29 stitches cover almost everything I need. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the foot pedal sensitivity takes some getting used to.
