Robust build quality
The metal housing feels very durable. We installed these in a dusty workshop and they have been running flawlessly for three months. Data acquisition is fast and reliable.

Good value, accurate readings
Compared the readings against a calibrated handheld meter and they were very close. The waterproof probe works great in our humid greenhouse environment. Only minus one star because the cable could be a bit longer.

Excellent for server room monitoring
We use these to monitor humidity levels in our server room. The alerts trigger correctly when thresholds are breached. Very satisfied with the stability of the data stream.

Solid performance
Works exactly as described. The temperature response time is quick. I wish it came with terminal blocks included, but that's a minor inconvenience.
Q: How do I change the device address if two sensors conflict?
A: You can change the device address via software commands using the Modbus protocol or by using our free configuration tool available on the product download page. Ensure only one device is connected to the bus during configuration.
Q: Is the calibration certificate included with the purchase?
A: Standard units come with a factory calibration report. If you require an ISO-certified individual calibration certificate, please contact us before placing your order for an additional fee.
Q: What is the maximum cable length supported for the probe?
A: The standard cable is 2 meters. For RS485 communication, the bus can extend up to 1200 meters depending on the baud rate and cable quality, but the probe itself should remain within its specified cable limits unless extended with shielded wire.
Q: Does this module support Modbus TCP directly?
A: No, this model supports Modbus RTU over RS485 only. To connect to a TCP network, you will need an RS485 to Ethernet converter gateway.
Q: Can this be powered by a 12V battery?
A: Yes, the XY-MD03/04 operates on a wide DC voltage range from 5V to 24V, so a 12V battery source is perfectly suitable.
