Good value, needs careful calibration
The build quality is solid for the price. You do need a multimeter to calibrate it correctly, but once set, it holds the value well. Just ensure your input voltage stays within the rated limits.

Reliable isolation

Compact and effective

Perfect for Arduino energy projects
This module works flawlessly with my ESP32 setup. The output is stable and the calibration potentiometer makes it easy to tune for accurate readings. Highly recommended for DIY smart home meters.
Q: Is this compatible with 3.3V logic microcontrollers?
A: Yes, but please note the output swing may exceed 3.3V depending on calibration. We recommend using a voltage divider or an op-amp circuit to scale the output if connecting directly to 3.3V GPIO pins.
Q: Does this come with headers soldered?
A: This module typically ships with unsoldered pin headers to allow for flexible mounting options. You will need to solder them yourself or use jumper wires directly on the pads.
Q: How do I calibrate the output voltage?
A: There is a multi-turn potentiometer on the board. Apply a known accurate AC voltage to the input, measure the output with a multimeter or MCU, and adjust the pot until the reading matches your reference.
Q: Can this module measure DC voltage?
A: No, the ZMPT101B is designed specifically for Single Phase AC voltage measurement only. It will not provide accurate readings for DC sources.
Q: What is the maximum safe input voltage?
A: While the module can technically handle spikes, we recommend keeping the continuous input voltage under 250V AC to ensure longevity and safety. Always use appropriate fuses in your circuit.
