Perfect for Arduino Projects
This HC-SR04 module works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The range is accurate up to about 3 meters in my testing, which is perfect for my robot obstacle avoidance project. Very easy to wire and code.

Solid standard sensor
The industry standard for a reason. It's cheap, durable, and gets the job done for most non-critical ranging tasks. The 5V logic level makes it compatible with most microcontrollers without extra components.

Reliable and Consistent
Bought a pack of ten for our workshop. All of them tested working immediately out of the box. The response time is fast enough for real-time applications. Highly recommended for educational purposes.

Works but has limitations
It does what it says, but don't expect industrial precision. There is a bit of noise in the data if you don't average multiple readings. Good for hobbyists, maybe not for critical navigation systems.

Good value but sensitive to angle
Great sensor for the price. It works well for basic distance measurement. Just note that the object needs to be relatively perpendicular to the sensor for the best readings; angled surfaces sometimes give erratic results.

Easy to get started
As a beginner, I was worried about wiring this up, but there are tons of tutorials online. It took me less than 10 minutes to get the first distance reading on my serial monitor. Great product!
Q: Can this sensor work with a 3.3V microcontroller like the ESP32?
A: Yes, but you need a voltage divider or a logic level converter for the Echo pin, as the module outputs 5V signals which can damage 3.3V GPIO pins. The Trigger pin usually accepts 3.3V as high.
Q: How do I handle the blind zone at close range?
A: The blind zone is inherent to ultrasonic technology. In your code, you should ignore any readings below 2cm or implement a delay after triggering to allow the sound wave to settle before listening for the echo.
Q: Does this come with jumper wires?
A: No, this listing is for the module only. Jumper wires are sold separately, but standard female-to-female Dupont wires work perfectly with the header pins.
Q: What is the minimum distance this module can detect?
A: The minimum measurable distance is approximately 2cm. Objects closer than this may not be detected reliably or may return a constant low value.
Q: Is this waterproof for outdoor use?
A: No, the standard HC-SR04 is not waterproof. If you plan to use it outdoors, you must house it in a waterproof enclosure with a mesh cover that allows sound to pass, or look for a specifically rated waterproof ultrasonic sensor.
