Decent but probe feels fragile
The electronics work fine, but the probe casing feels a bit thin. I am careful when handling it to avoid damage. Readings are okay for hobby use but maybe not for critical industrial applications.
Q: Does this module come with calibration powder?
A: No, the module does not include calibration powder. We recommend purchasing standard TDS calibration solutions separately for best accuracy.
Q: How often should I clean the probe?
A: For optimal performance, we suggest gently cleaning the probe with distilled water and a soft cloth every 2-4 weeks, depending on the turbidity of the water being tested.
Q: Can this be used directly in saltwater aquariums?
A: This sensor is designed primarily for fresh water and hydroponics. High salinity levels in saltwater may affect accuracy and potentially degrade the probe faster.
Q: What is the maximum depth the probe can be submerged?
A: The probe itself is waterproof up to IP67 ratings, but the junction where the cable meets the probe should not be fully submerged. We recommend keeping the connection point above the water line.
Q: Is there a digital output version available?
A: This specific model outputs an analog signal. If you require a digital interface, you will need to use the ADC pins on your microcontroller or an external ADC module.
