Good value, clear documentation
Solid performance for the price. The datasheet provided clear instructions on the baud rate settings. Only minor issue was the pin headers needed a little extra solder, but otherwise great.

Works well for vehicle leveling
Installed this in a custom RV leveling system. It handles vibrations reasonably well and provides consistent data. Would recommend adding some software filtering for moving vehicles.

Reliable inclination detection
I used this for a solar panel tracker system. It detects small changes in angle very well. The 3-axis data allows me to calculate precise orientation in any position.

Easy to integrate

Perfect for my robotics project
This sensor module works exactly as described. The serial output is clean and easy to parse with my Arduino. The tilt angle readings are stable and accurate enough for my balancing robot.

A: The standard output rate is configurable up to 100Hz. You can adjust the frequency by sending specific configuration commands over the serial interface.
Q: What is the default baud rate for the serial output?
A: The default baud rate is typically 9600 bps, but it can be configured to other standard rates like 115200 via command instructions in the manual.
Q: Does it require external calibration before use?
A: The sensor comes factory-calibrated for general use. For high-precision applications, a simple static calibration routine can be performed by placing the sensor on a flat surface.
Q: Can I get raw accelerometer data or just the calculated angle?
A: The SC7A20H primarily outputs calculated tilt angles. If you need raw X, Y, Z acceleration data, please check our specific raw-data models, as this firmware focuses on angle computation.
