Works well but limited range
The sensor works as described, but keep in mind this is a simple threshold detector, not a precision thermometer. If you need exact degree readings, look for a DS18B20 instead. For simple hot/cold detection, this is fine.

Easy to use for beginners
I am new to electronics and this was very easy to wire up. The pins are clearly labeled (VCC, GND, DO). The included documentation online helped me get it running in under 10 minutes.

Good value but needs calibration
Great little sensor for the price. It took a few minutes to calibrate using a multimeter and a heat gun, but once set, it triggers reliably. Just remember it outputs digital signals, not analog temperature readings.

Perfect for Arduino projects
This module works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The sensitivity adjustment via the potentiometer is very smooth, allowing me to set the exact temperature threshold I needed for my fan control project.

Compact and sturdy
The PCB quality is surprisingly good for the cost. Soldering points are solid and the thermistor bead is well-protected. I've integrated three of these into a home automation system with no issues.

Reliable thermal detection
Used this in a custom 3D printer overheating alarm. It has been running for weeks without any false positives. The LM393 comparator is stable and the response time is quick enough for safety applications.
Q: How do I adjust the temperature trigger point?
A: There is a blue potentiometer on the board. Use a small screwdriver to turn it while applying heat to the sensor. Watch the indicator LED; when it changes state (on/off), that is your trigger point.
Q: Is the cable included in the package?
A: No, the package typically includes only the sensor module board. You will need to solder your own wires or use jumper cables to connect it to your microcontroller.
Q: Can I connect this directly to a 5V Raspberry Pi GPIO pin?
A: Yes, the module operates at 3.3V to 5V. However, ensure you configure the GPIO pin correctly in your software. Since the output is digital, you will read a HIGH or LOW state depending on whether the temperature exceeds your set point.
Q: What is the maximum temperature this sensor can detect?
A: The NTC thermistor itself can typically withstand up to 100°C-120°C, but the practical detection limit depends on your potentiometer calibration and the specific application environment. We recommend testing within safe operating limits for your project.
Q: Does this module provide an analog output voltage corresponding to the temperature?
A: No, this specific module provides a digital switch output (High/Low) based on the threshold you set with the potentiometer. It does not output a varying analog voltage proportional to temperature.
