Works well but instructions could be better
The hardware itself is great and accurate. However, the included paper manual was very basic. I had to look up code examples online to get it working properly.

Great starter kit for weighing projects
As a beginner, I was worried this would be too complex. It turned out to be very user-friendly. The wiring diagram was clear, and the scale is surprisingly accurate.

Solid build quality

Perfect for my Arduino project

Good value, minor assembly required
The components are solid quality. The tray fits snugly on the bracket once assembled. Took me about 20 minutes to set up. One screw was slightly loose, but nothing major.

Stable readings for robotic arm
I used the 10kg version for a robotic gripper feedback system. The noise filtering on the HX711 is excellent, providing stable data even with motor vibration nearby.
Q: Does this support 3.3V logic levels for ESP32?
A: Yes, the HX711 module operates within a voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V, making it fully compatible with 3.3V microcontrollers like the ESP32 and ESP8266.
Q: Does this kit include the library code for Arduino?
A: The physical kit does not include a USB drive with code, but we recommend downloading the popular 'HX711' library by Bogdan Necula from the Arduino Library Manager for easy integration.
Q: What is the maximum wire length between the sensor and the module?
A: For optimal signal integrity without noise, we recommend keeping the wire length under 2 meters. If you need longer distances, shielded cables are advised.
Q: Can I use the 40kg sensor for weighing small items like jewelry?
A: While possible, the 40kg sensor is optimized for heavier loads. For jewelry or very light items, we strongly recommend the 5kg version for higher precision and better resolution.
Q: Is the weighing tray removable for cleaning?
A: Yes, the ABS tray is designed to be easily detached from the aluminum bracket for cleaning or replacement without needing tools.
