Professional grade performance
We use these in our industrial monitoring setup. They handle high-frequency vibrations well and the PVDF film is durable enough for repeated testing cycles.

Good value, clear instructions
The sensor responds quickly to vibrations. I deducted one star because the mounting adhesive could be stronger, but overall a solid purchase for hobbyists.

Solid choice for vibration analysis
Works as described. The frequency response is flat across the specified range. Would recommend buying extra cables if you need longer reach.

Excellent for prototype testing
This kit worked perfectly for our university robotics project. The charge amplifier module is stable and the signal-to-noise ratio is impressive for this price point.
Q: What is the maximum g-force this sensor can withstand without damage?
A: The CT-PVDF-028K is designed for general vibration analysis and can typically withstand shocks up to 500g, though optimal linearity is maintained within the standard operating range.
Q: How do I calibrate the sensor for accurate g-force readings?
A: Calibration should be performed using a known reference shaker table. The module has a trim pot for gain adjustment; please refer to the included manual for the calibration procedure.
Q: Does this kit include the necessary cables to connect to an oscilloscope?
A: Yes, the kit includes a 1.5-meter shielded cable with a BNC connector suitable for direct connection to most oscilloscopes and DAQ systems.
Q: Is the charge amplifier powered by USB or does it need a separate power supply?
A: The module requires a dual rail ±12V DC power supply for proper operation and cannot be powered solely via USB.
Q: Can this be used underwater for hydrophone applications?
A: While PVDF film is inherently water-resistant, this specific kit is not IP-rated for submersion. We recommend adding a waterproof coating or housing for underwater use.
