Great sensor, tricky soldering
The performance is excellent for my balancing robot project. However, the pins are a bit close together, so you need a steady hand to solder headers without bridging.

Perfect for FPV Drone Stabilization
The ICM42688 on this board works flawlessly with my flight controller. The noise levels are incredibly low compared to older sensors, making tuning much easier.

Best upgrade for my quadcopter
Upgraded from an MPU6050 and the difference in flight smoothness is night and day. Highly recommend for anyone building custom drones.

Excellent SPI Performance
Integrated this into an STM32 project using SPI. The data rate is high and consistent. Documentation provided by the seller was helpful for getting started.

Good value for money
Works as advertised. The breakout board layout is logical. Only giving 4 stars because the included pins were slightly bent upon arrival, but easily fixed.
Q: Do you provide sample code for Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, we provide a GitHub link in the product manual that includes Python libraries and example scripts specifically for Raspberry Pi integration.
Q: What is the maximum sampling rate for the gyroscope?
A: The ICM42688 supports a gyro sampling rate of up to 8kHz, allowing for very fast response times in dynamic applications.
Q: Can I use this underwater?
A: The sensor module itself is not waterproof. You would need to encase it in a waterproof housing if you intend to use it in wet or underwater environments.
Q: Is this compatible with Arduino Uno?
A: Yes, it is compatible. However, since the sensor operates at 3.3V logic, you may need a logic level converter if your Arduino board does not support 3.3V logic natively on the SPI/I2C pins.
Q: Does this module come with pre-soldered headers?
A: No, the module comes with a separate pin header strip that you can solder yourself depending on your mounting needs.
