Excellent noise rejection
I was worried about electrical noise in my setup, but the onboard regulator and filtering do a great job. Readings are consistent even near motors.

Easy to use for beginners
I had never used a load cell before. Following a few tutorials, I got this working in under an hour. The difference between channel A and B gain settings is useful.

Great value, stable readings
Very stable output once calibrated. I used it for a kitchen scale prototype. The only minor issue is that the pin headers were not pre-soldered, but that's expected at this price point.

Perfect for DIY Scale Projects
This module works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The 24-bit precision is noticeable when measuring small weights. Setup was straightforward using the standard library.
Q: How many wires does the load cell need to have?
A: The HX711 supports both 4-wire and 6-wire load cells. For 6-wire cells, the sense wires are typically left unconnected or joined with the excitation wires if not needed.
Q: What is the maximum refresh rate available?
A: The module offers two selectable sampling rates: 10Hz for higher precision or 80Hz for faster updates. This is usually controlled by the wiring of the RATE pin.
Q: Can this module work with a 3.3V microcontroller like the ESP32?
A: Yes, the HX711 operates within a voltage range of 2.6V to 5.5V, making it fully compatible with 3.3V logic systems like the ESP32 and ESP8266.
Q: Does this come with a load cell included?
A: No, this listing is for the HX711 amplifier module only. You will need to purchase a compatible load cell separately based on your weight capacity requirements.
Q: Is there a library available for Python/Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, there are several open-source Python libraries available on GitHub specifically designed to interface the HX711 with Raspberry Pi GPIO pins.
