Good accuracy, needs calibration
The sensor is quite sensitive and accurate once you spend time calibrating it with known weights. The frame is sturdy enough for light loads. Just be patient with the setup.

Solid kit, minor wiring confusion
The components are high quality. I got confused initially by the wire colors on the load cell versus the diagram, but a quick multimeter check sorted it out. Works great now.

Reliable HX711 chip
I've used standalone HX711 chips before, but this module saves so much time. The soldering points are clear, and the included load cell matches the specs perfectly. Highly recommended.

Excellent sensitivity
Very impressed with how quickly it responds to weight changes. I am using this in a robotic gripper to detect object weight, and it performs flawlessly within the 5kg range.

Perfect for my first DIY scale project
This kit made it incredibly easy to build a small digital scale. The wiring was straightforward, and the library examples for Arduino worked right out of the box. Great value for beginners.

A: No, the standard load cell included in this kit is not waterproof. It should be used in dry indoor environments or protected with an enclosure if used near moisture.
Q: Does this come with the code library for Arduino?
A: The hardware kit does not include a physical CD, but we provide a link in the manual to the popular open-source HX711 Arduino libraries available on GitHub.
Q: What is the maximum weight limit for the included frame?
A: The kit is available in two versions. Please select either the 5KG or 10KG option at checkout. The frame and load cell are rated specifically for the capacity you choose.
Q: Can I use this with a 3.3V microcontroller like ESP32?
A: Yes, the HX711 module operates comfortably within the 2.6V to 5.5V range, making it fully compatible with 3.3V logic boards like the ESP32 and ESP8266.
Q: How many wires connect the load cell to the module?
A: The load cell typically has four wires (Red, Black, White, Green) that connect to the E+, E-, A+, and A- terminals on the HX711 module board.
