Reliable Modbus implementation
Finally found a Hall sensor that speaks Modbus out of the box without needing an intermediate microcontroller. Saved me hours of coding.

Perfect for industrial monitoring projects

Works well but display is fragile
The sensor itself is great, but since it comes as a bare board, the OLED screen got scratched during shipping. Recommend buying a case separately if you need durability.

Good sensor, needs careful wiring
Accuracy is impressive for the price point. Just be careful with the pinout as it's not standard Arduino spacing. The AT commands are well documented in the wiki.

Excellent response time
Used this for a magnetic levitation prototype. The update rate on the display and via serial is very fast. No lag detected during rapid field changes.

Great for learning embedded systems
Using this for my senior design project. The AT protocol makes it easy to test via terminal before integrating into the main code. Wish it came with header pins soldered.
Q: Does this module come with header pins pre-soldered?
A: No, this is sold as a bare board to keep costs down and allow for custom mounting. Header pins are not included but can be easily soldered by the user.
Q: What is the power consumption in standby mode?
A: In active mode, it draws approximately 15mA. There is no dedicated deep sleep mode, but you can cut power via a MOSFET or relay to minimize consumption when not measuring.
Q: Can I change the baud rate for the UART communication?
A: Yes, the baud rate is configurable via AT commands. The default is 9600, but it supports up to 115200 depending on your application needs.
Q: Is there a library available for Arduino?
A: We do not provide an official Arduino library, but the Modbus and AT command protocols are standard. Many users utilize generic Modbus libraries or write simple serial parsers.
Q: Is the measurement range sufficient for detecting strong neodymium magnets?
A: Yes, the +/- 200mT range is suitable for most neodymium magnets at a close distance. Please ensure the magnet is not placed directly against the sensor chip to avoid saturation.
