Robust build quality
I've tested both the DHT11 and SHT30 versions from this batch. The PCB thickness feels premium, and the protective filter on the humidity sensor looks durable. Excellent compatibility with standard Arduino libraries.

Good value, clear documentation needed
The hardware quality is solid and the pins are well-soldered. However, the included paper manual was a bit vague on the I2C address configuration. Once I found the library online, it worked great. Good product overall.

Easy to use for beginners

Reliable SHT40 performance

Great for greenhouse monitoring
Using this to monitor humidity in my small greenhouse. It handles the high humidity environment well. The only reason for 4 stars is that the connector wires sold separately were a bit short for my setup.
Q: Can I use this outdoors in the rain?
A: While the sensor element has some protection, the PCB itself is not waterproof. For outdoor use, we strongly recommend placing the module inside a breathable weatherproof enclosure to prevent water damage.
Q: Does this module work directly with 5V Arduino Uno boards?
A: Yes, the module supports a wide voltage range of 3.3V to 5V, making it fully compatible with the 5V logic of the Arduino Uno without needing a level shifter.
Q: What is the default I2C address for the SHT30 sensor?
A: The default I2C address for the SHT30 is typically 0x44. However, some batches may use 0x45 depending on the ADDR pin configuration. Please check the specific datasheet included in the download link.
Q: Is a pull-up resistor required for the I2C lines?
A: Most modern microcontrollers have internal pull-up resistors. However, if you experience communication errors or unstable readings, adding external 4.7kΩ pull-up resistors to the SDA and SCL lines is recommended.
Q: How do I switch between DHT11 and SHT30 modes?
A: You cannot switch modes on a single unit. You must select the specific sensor model (DHT11, SHT30, etc.) at the time of purchase. Each module comes pre-populated with one specific sensor chip.
