Reliable and cheap
I bought five of these for a school project. All of them functioned correctly. The library support is excellent, making coding a breeze.

Slow response time
The sensor works, but remember it can only take a reading once per second. If you need faster updates, look at the DHT22 model instead.

Good basic sensor
Does exactly what it says. The humidity readings are decent for general monitoring, though not lab-grade precision. Perfect for my small indoor plant setup.

Perfect for beginner projects
This DHT11 module worked straight out of the box with my Arduino Uno. The included Dupont wires made connections very easy. Great value for the price.

Easy to wire up
As someone new to electronics, I appreciated the pre-soldered header and the included wires. Saved me a lot of trouble. Works well with ESP32 too.
Q: Can I use this with a 3.3V logic board?
A: Yes, the module operates between 3.3V and 5V, making it compatible with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers like the ESP8266 and Arduino.
Q: How long are the included Dupont wires?
A: The included female-to-female Dupont wires are approximately 20cm (8 inches) in length, suitable for breadboard prototyping.
Q: Is this sensor waterproof?
A: No, the DHT11 is not waterproof. It should be used in dry environments or housed in a protective enclosure if used outdoors.
Q: Do I need an external resistor?
A: Most modules, including this one, come with a built-in pull-up resistor on the PCB, so no external resistor is required for standard operation.
Q: What is the difference between DHT11 and DHT22?
A: The DHT22 offers higher accuracy and a wider temperature/humidity range compared to the DHT11, but the DHT11 is more affordable for basic needs.
