Solid performance
Using it to trigger my dehumidifier automatically. The threshold detection is reliable. Only minor issue is that the pins are slightly close together, so be careful when plugging in jumper wires.

The sensor is accurate, but remember it has a 2-second sampling rate. If you need fast real-time data for rapid fluctuations, this isn't the right choice. For general environmental logging, it is fine.

Perfect for Arduino Projects

Great for university projects
Bought this for my final year engineering project. It survived months of testing in various conditions. The build quality of the module feels sturdy compared to the bare component versions.
Q: How often does the sensor update the data?
A: The DHT22 has a sampling period of 2 seconds. It cannot provide new data faster than this interval; requesting data more frequently may result in reading errors or stale data.
Q: Can this sensor be used outdoors in the rain?
A: The sensor probe itself is somewhat resistant to humidity, but the PCB and electronic components are not waterproof. You must house it in a weatherproof enclosure with ventilation for outdoor use.
Q: Does this module come with a pull-up resistor installed?
A: Yes, this PCB module includes a built-in pull-up resistor, so you can connect it directly to your microcontroller without needing external components.
Q: What is the maximum cable length recommended for the data pin?
A: For reliable signal transmission, we recommend keeping the cable length under 20 meters. Using a shielded cable is advised for longer distances to reduce noise interference.
