Good value, clear documentation needed
The hardware quality is solid and the price is unbeatable. However, beginners might struggle slightly as the datasheet could be more detailed regarding the SPI timing diagrams. Once configured, it performs very well.

Reliable for industrial prototyping
We used several of these for a prototype weighing station. They handled the noise environment better than expected. The differential input helps reject common-mode noise effectively.

Solid performance, minor heating
The ADC conversion speed is impressive. I noticed the chip gets slightly warm after prolonged use at 5V, but it stays within safe operating limits and does not affect accuracy.

Excellent replacement part
Used this to repair a broken kitchen scale circuit board. The pinout matches the original design perfectly. Calibration was straightforward using the internal gain settings.

Great for university projects
Bought this for my final year project on smart logistics. It connects easily to Raspberry Pi and Python libraries are available online. Very happy with the precision.
Q: Does this module support 3.3V logic levels directly?
A: Yes, the CS1237/1238 operates from 2.7V to 5.5V, making it fully compatible with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers without level shifters.
Q: How do I calibrate the sensor after installation?
A: Calibration involves reading the raw value with no load (tare) and then with a known standard weight. You can then calculate the scaling factor in your software code.
Q: Is there a library available for ESP32?
A: While we do not provide official libraries, there are several open-source community drivers available on GitHub that support ESP32, Arduino, and STM32 platforms.
Q: What is the maximum sampling rate for this ADC?
A: The typical output data rate is up to 10Hz to 80Hz depending on the gain setting and filter configuration selected in the control register.
Q: Can I connect two load cells to this single module?
A: The module features two differential input channels, so yes, you can connect two separate load cells or use a full-bridge configuration on one channel.
