Replaced a costly potentiometer
Non-contact measurement means no wear and tear. This module has already paid for itself by extending the life of our testing rig components.

Great value, minor wiring confusion
Works exactly as described. The documentation could be slightly clearer regarding pinout for I2C mode, but once figured out, it performs flawlessly.

Perfect for my robotic arm project
The precision on this sensor is outstanding. Setup with Arduino was straightforward using the SPI interface. The included magnet fits perfectly on my motor shaft.

High reliability under vibration
Used this on a custom gimbal system. Even with high vibration, the angle readings remain stable and noise-free. Highly recommended for dynamic applications.
Q: What is the maximum RPM this sensor can handle?
A: The AS5600 can track speeds up to approximately 30,000 RPM depending on the interface used. SPI offers the fastest update rates for high-speed applications.
Q: Is there a library available for ESP32?
A: Yes, there are several open-source libraries available on GitHub and the Arduino Library Manager that support the AS5600 with ESP32 boards.
Q: Can I use a different magnet if I lose the included one?
A: Yes, you can use any diametrically magnetized magnet. However, for optimal accuracy, we recommend a magnet with a diameter of 6mm and thickness of 2-3mm placed 0.5mm to 2mm above the sensor.
Q: Does this come with a datasheet?
A: A digital copy of the full datasheet and schematic diagram is available for download on our product page under the 'Documents' section.
Q: Does this module work directly with a Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, the AS5600 supports I2C and SPI protocols which are fully compatible with Raspberry Pi GPIO pins. Just ensure you use the correct voltage levels (3.3V).
