Great results, temperature control is key
The chemicals work exactly as advertised. My only critique is that you really need a precise water bath to maintain 38°C, or the colors will shift. Once I got the temperature stable, the slides looked professional.

Consistent quality for medium format

Good product, packaging could be better
The chemistry itself is fine and produced good slides, but one of the bottles leaked slightly during shipping. Nothing was ruined, but it made a mess in the box. Check your bottles immediately upon arrival.

Q: What is the safest way to dispose of the used chemicals?
A: Do not pour chemicals down the drain. Silver halides and other compounds require proper disposal. Please contact your local hazardous waste facility for guidelines on disposing of photographic chemicals in your area.
Q: Does this kit include instructions for push/pull processing?
A: The included guide covers standard E-6 processing times. For push or pull processing, you will need to adjust the First Developer time specifically. We recommend consulting online resources or film data sheets for specific time adjustments based on ISO changes.
Q: Can this kit be used for black and white film?
A: No, this kit is specifically formulated for E-6 color reversal (slide) film only. Using it on black and white film will ruin the emulsion. Please use a dedicated B&W developer for those films.
Q: Is a specific tank required, or will any standard tank work?
A: Any standard stainless steel or plastic developing tank designed for 35mm or 120 film will work. However, because E-6 requires strict temperature control, tanks with good insulation or the ability to sit in a water bath are recommended.
Q: How long do the mixed chemicals last if I don't use them all at once?
A: Once mixed, the solutions should be stored in airtight, full bottles to minimize oxidation. Under ideal storage conditions (cool and dark), they typically remain effective for 2 to 4 weeks. The First Developer is the most sensitive to age.
