Decent but instructions could be clearer
The chemicals work well, but the included instruction sheet was a bit vague regarding dilution ratios for different film speeds. I had to look up standard D-76 times online. Once figured out, the results were good.

Good results, takes time to dissolve
The chemical performance is solid, producing sharp negatives. However, the developer powder took a bit longer to fully dissolve in warm water compared to other brands I've used. Once mixed, no issues at all.

Excellent alternative to Kodak D-76
I was worried about switching from the original D-76, but this Paisen set works flawlessly. The grain structure on my Ilford HP5 Plus is fine, and the contrast is exactly what I expect. Great value for the price.

Perfect for bulk developing
As someone who shoots a lot of 35mm, having a powder set that makes a liter of solution is perfect. The fixer clears the film quickly, usually within 4 minutes. Highly recommended for home labs.

Great shelf life
Bought this six months ago and just opened it. The powder was still dry and clump-free. Mixed up a batch yesterday and developed some Tri-X 400 with beautiful results. Will buy again.

A: No, this set is specifically formulated for black and white film only. It is not suitable for C-41 or E-6 color processes.
Q: Do I need separate stop bath chemicals?
A: While not strictly mandatory, using a stop bath (or a simple water rinse) between the developer and fixer steps is highly recommended to halt development instantly and preserve the life of your fixer.

A: Development times vary by film brand and desired contrast. Generally, for ISO 400 films like Ilford HP5 or Kodak Tri-X, start with 9-11 minutes at 20°C (68°F) and adjust based on your testing.
