Good growth, minor leaf drop
Overall very satisfied. There was a little bit of leaf shedding during the first week as they acclimated, which is normal. Now they are growing vigorously and oxygenating the tank well.

Great value and fast shipping
I was worried about ordering live plants online, but the packaging was excellent. The green chrysanthemum variety is stunning and adds a nice pop of color against the dark rocks.

Solid product, vibrant green
The plants are very vibrant and the rock quality is high. I deducted one star only because one bundle was slightly smaller than the others, but it didn't affect the overall look of my tank.

Easy for beginners
As someone new to aquascaping, these were a lifesaver. They don't need CO2 injection or strong lights. Just drop them in, and they look like a professional setup immediately.

Fish are happier than ever
My tetras and guppies spend all their time swimming through these plants. The volcanic rock provides great surface area for beneficial bacteria too. Highly recommend for natural filtration.

Perfect for my low-light tank
These plants arrived healthy and green. The volcanic rock anchors them perfectly without needing extra weights. My fish love hiding in the hornwort, and I've noticed the water clarity improve significantly.
Q: Are these plants safe for betta fish?
A: Yes, absolutely. All our plants are non-toxic and safe for bettas, tetras, guppies, and shrimp. The soft leaves of the hornwort are gentle on delicate fins.
Q: Do I need to add fertilizer for these to survive?
A: These plants are hardy and can survive in most established tanks without additional fertilizer. However, using a liquid root tab or water column fertilizer occasionally will promote lush, faster growth.
Q: How much light do these require daily?
A: Since these are shade-tolerant varieties, they thrive in low to moderate lighting. About 6 to 8 hours of standard aquarium LED lighting per day is sufficient for healthy growth.
Q: Do I need to plant these in substrate or can they float?
A: These come attached to volcanic rock, so they will sink and stay in place immediately. You can bury the rock slightly in the substrate for stability or leave them resting on the bottom; they do not need to float.
Q: Will these grow out of control quickly?
A: They have a moderate growth rate. While hornwort can grow fast, regular trimming every few weeks will keep them shaped nicely. Trimmings can actually be replanted to grow new bunches!
