Perfect for my shrimp tank!
These duckweeds arrived healthy and green. Within a week, they covered about 30% of the surface, helping to lower nitrates significantly. My cherry shrimp love hiding underneath them.

Beautiful addition to office fountain
We placed these in our lobby water feature. They look lush and professional while keeping the water from getting stagnant. Very low maintenance.

Great for hydroponics setup
I used these in my indoor herb garden's reservoir. They grow very quickly and keep the water clear. Just be ready to skim some off regularly or they take over completely.

Easy for beginners
I was worried about killing them, but they are incredibly hardy. Just toss them in, make sure there is some light, and they do the rest. Highly recommend for new tank owners.

Good value but grows fast
Healthy plants that established quickly. They are effective at blocking excess light which stopped my algae bloom. Only downside is you need to remove half of them every few days.
Q: Do I need to plant these in soil?
A: No, duckweed is a free-floating plant. You simply place them on the surface of the water, and their roots will hang down into the water column to absorb nutrients.
Q: How much light do these require daily?
A: They thrive best with 8 to 10 hours of moderate to bright indirect light. Direct intense sunlight can sometimes scorch them if the water gets too hot, so monitor temperatures.
Q: Is this safe for betta fish?
A: Yes, duckweed is completely safe for betta fish. In fact, many bettas enjoy resting among the roots or using the leaves as a shaded area to sleep.
Q: Can I use this in an outdoor pond in winter?
A: Duckweed is sensitive to freezing temperatures. If your outdoor pond freezes, the plants will likely die. It is best to bring a sample indoors to an aquarium during cold months to replant in spring.
Q: Will these plants survive in a tank with goldfish?
A: Goldfish are known to eat aquatic plants voraciously. While the duckweed will grow, the fish may consume it faster than it can reproduce. We recommend providing extra coverage or supplementing frequently.
