Beautiful colors, small bottles
The ink quality is exceptional as expected from Diamine. The colors are vibrant and flow well in my nibs. Only giving 4 stars because 5ml runs out quite fast if you use a piston filler, but that is expected for a sample pack. Great value for the price.

Silver Fox is a standout
I bought this mainly for Silver Fox and it did not disappoint. It's a cool-toned grey that isn't too light on the page. Blue Velvet and Black Forest are also excellent daily writers. The glass bottles feel premium despite the small size.

Perfect way to try these exclusive colors
I was hesitant to buy full 80ml bottles of the anniversary colors, so this trial pack was perfect. Blue Velvet is a stunning deep blue with great shading, and Silver Fox is a unique grey that writes smoothly. Black Forest is a rich, dark green-black. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to test these before committing.

Lovely shading properties
Used these for some sketching and lettering. Blue Velvet shows amazing shading variations depending on the nib width. The ink dries reasonably fast on Rhodia paper. Very happy with this purchase and the quick shipping.

Great for travel
These small bottles fit perfectly in my pencil case. I take them to coffee shops to write in my journal. No leaks so far, and the variety keeps my writing interesting. The 150th anniversary branding on the labels is a nice touch.

Good introduction to the line
If you are new to Diamine, this is a solid starter set. The inks are well-behaved and easy to clean out of pens. Black Forest looks almost black in some lights but reveals its green soul in others. Would love to see more trios like this.

A: Silver Fox is a grey ink, so while it is smooth and reliable, it may be lighter than traditional black or blue inks. It is best suited for journals or creative writing rather than formal documents requiring high contrast.
Q: Are these bottles compatible with standard fountain pen syringes for filling?
A: Yes, the opening of the 5ml Diamine bottles is standard size and works perfectly with most ink syringes for easy filling.
Q: Can I mix these inks together to create custom colors?
A: While physically possible, we generally do not recommend mixing different ink brands or even different lines within the same brand, as it can alter chemical properties and potentially clog pens. It is safer to use them individually.
Q: Do these inks contain any shimmer or sheen?
A: No, the 150th Anniversary collection inks in this pack are standard dye-based inks. They do not contain shimmer particles, though Blue Velvet and Black Forest may show some sheen on certain types of paper.
