Best entry point for new fans
If you have never played a Zelda game, start here. It is self-contained, the story is touching, and the mechanics are easy to learn but hard to master.

Great game, check your console region
The game itself is fantastic and the Chinese language support works perfectly on my HK Switch. Just make sure you do not have a mainland China console as stated in the description, or it won't work.

Nostalgia done right
I played the original on Game Boy years ago. This remake respects the source material while updating everything that needed it. The music rearrangement is superb.

A Beautiful Remake of a Classic
The art style is absolutely charming, looking like a playable toy set. The gameplay retains the classic Zelda feel while adding modern quality-of-life improvements. Highly recommended for any Switch owner.

Solid performance, minor frame drops
Overall a wonderful experience. There are very occasional frame rate dips in busy areas, but they do not detract significantly from the fun. The toy-like graphics are unique and refreshing.

Perfect for handheld play
This game shines in handheld mode. The island of Koholint is delightful to explore, and the dungeon puzzles are challenging without being frustrating. A must-play title.
Q: Does the box come with an English manual?
A: Since this is the Japanese version, the physical paper manual included in the box will be in Japanese. However, the game software itself includes full English and Chinese text options.
Q: Can I transfer my save data if I already started playing the digital version?
A: Yes, save data is stored on your console system memory, not on the game card. You can switch between the digital and physical versions of the same game region without losing progress.
Q: Why is it labeled 'Not Compatible with Mainland China Consoles'?
A: Nintendo Switch consoles sold officially in Mainland China have a different operating system and region lock that prevents them from playing game cards intended for other regions, including this Japanese version.
Q: Is this compatible with the Nintendo Switch Lite?
A: Yes, this game is fully compatible with the Nintendo Switch Lite, standard Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch OLED models, provided they are not the region-locked Mainland China variants.
Q: Will this game work on a Nintendo Switch bought in the United States?
A: Yes, Nintendo Switch game cards are generally region-free. As long as your console is not a specific Mainland China model, this Japanese version will work perfectly and allows you to select English or Chinese in the settings.
