Good quality, clear instructions needed
The part itself is excellent and feels very sturdy. However, the installation guide could be more detailed for beginners. Once installed, it works flawlessly.

Restored my printer to life
Excellent build quality. The motor is quiet and the gear grip is strong. Highly recommend keeping one of these as a spare if you run a print farm.

Perfect replacement for my Plus 4
My original extruder started skipping steps after two years of heavy use. This assembly was a direct fit and took only 15 minutes to install. Prints are back to perfect quality.

Works well but pricey
It does exactly what it is supposed to do and fixed my under-extrusion issues. A bit expensive compared to third-party options, but the reliability is worth it.
Q: What tools are required for installation?
A: You will typically need a hex key set (Allen wrenches) and a small screwdriver. All necessary screws are included with the assembly.
Q: Does this assembly include the heater block and nozzle?
A: No, this listing is for the extruder assembly only (motor and drive mechanism). The hotend, heater block, and nozzle must be purchased separately or transferred from your old unit.
Q: Is this compatible with the older QIDI X-One model?
A: No, this extruder assembly is specifically designed for the Plus 4, X-Max 3, and X-Pro 2 series. It is not compatible with the X-One or X-One 2 models.
Q: Do I need to recalibrate the E-steps after installing this?
A: While the unit comes pre-calibrated, we highly recommend checking and fine-tuning your E-steps and flow rate in your slicer or firmware to ensure optimal printing results.
Q: Can this handle flexible filaments like TPU?
A: Yes, the hardened steel gear and direct drive design of this assembly are well-suited for printing flexible materials such as TPU and TPE.
