No more frequent changes
I used to change my nozzle every few spools when using abrasive PLA. With the Phaetus SiC nozzle, I haven't had to change it in months. The print quality remains consistent throughout the lifespan.

Perfect for abrasive filaments
I switched to this SiC nozzle after destroying three brass nozzles with carbon fiber PLA. It has been running flawlessly for over 200 hours with zero wear visible. Highly recommended for anyone printing composite materials.

Excellent thermal performance

Works as advertised
Very durable and handles high temperatures well. Just make sure to torque it correctly during installation as the material is harder than standard brass. Overall a great purchase for my Volcano setup.

Great flow rate and durability
The 0.6mm option provides excellent flow for structural parts. The silicon carbide material seems to handle heat very well without clogging. Installation was straightforward on my V6 hotend.

Solid upgrade, slightly pricey
Performance is top-notch, especially compared to hardened steel. It costs a bit more, but if you print a lot of glow-in-the-dark or wood-fill filaments, it pays for itself quickly. Took off one star just for the price point.
Q: Does the 0.4mm version clog easily?
A: No, the internal bore is precision machined to prevent clogging. However, as with any small diameter nozzle, ensure your filament is clean and dry to avoid issues.
Q: What is the maximum safe operating temperature?
A: The Silicon Carbide material can safely withstand temperatures up to 450°C, making it suitable for high-temperature engineering filaments.
Q: Do I need a special wrench to install this?
A: A standard M6 nozzle wrench works fine. The package also includes a small installation wrench to get you started immediately.
Q: Is this nozzle compatible with the E3D V6 hotend?
A: Yes, this nozzle is specifically designed to be fully compatible with both E3D V6 and Volcano style hotends with M6 threads.
