My new favorite filament
This has replaced my standard silk filaments. The dual-tone effect adds a level of depth that single-color silk just can't match. Highly recommended for display pieces.

Stunning color transitions
The dual-color gradient on this silk PLA is absolutely gorgeous. It printed perfectly on my Bambu Lab X1 without any clogging. The surface finish looks like real fabric.

Great look, slightly brittle
The visual effect is amazing for decorative prints. However, be aware that silk PLA is naturally more brittle than standard PLA, so don't use it for functional mechanical parts.

No jams on Creality Ender 3
Was worried about compatibility with my older Ender 3, but it fed smoothly the entire time. The spool was wound neatly with no tangles.

Good value for money
For the price, you get a high-quality filament with a unique aesthetic. The only reason for 4 stars is that the colors on my spool were a bit different than the product photo, but still nice.

Perfect for vases and figurines
I used this for a series of vase modes and the layer lines are completely hidden by the silk sheen. The color shift happens smoothly throughout the spool.
Q: How should I store this filament after opening?
A: Like all PLA, it absorbs moisture from the air. Please store it in an airtight container with desiccant packs when not in use to maintain print quality.
Q: Does this filament require a heated bed?
A: While not strictly mandatory, we recommend a heated bed set between 50°C and 60°C to ensure better adhesion and prevent warping.
Q: Can I use this with a 0.4mm nozzle?
A: Yes, this 1.75mm filament is designed to work perfectly with standard 0.4mm nozzles found on most FDM printers.
Q: Is the color change random or predictable?
A: The filament features a continuous gradient along the length of the spool. The transition is smooth, but the exact point where colors shift depends on how much filament you have used.
Q: What is the tensile strength compared to regular PLA?
A: Silk PLA generally has slightly lower tensile strength and layer adhesion compared to standard PLA due to the additives that create the shiny finish. It is best suited for aesthetic models rather than load-bearing parts.
