Great durability, needs higher temps
The nozzle is very durable and handles the abrasion well. Just note that you might need to increase your printing temperature by about 5-10 degrees compared to brass due to the different thermal conductivity of steel.

Essential upgrade for E3D V6
If you own an E3D V6 and plan to print anything other than standard PLA or PETG, buy this immediately. It fits perfectly and the thread engagement is solid. No leaks or clogs so far.

Solved my clogging issues
I was experiencing frequent clogs when trying to print wood-fill filament with a brass nozzle. This hardened steel version resolved the issue completely. The surface finish on my prints is also surprisingly good.

Good value for money

Perfect for abrasive filaments

A: We recommend heating the nozzle to the printing temperature of the clogging material and using a brass wire brush or a specialized needle cleaning tool. Avoid using excessive force.
Q: Do I need to recalibrate my extruder steps after installing this?
A: Generally, no recalibration of E-steps is needed since the orifice diameter remains 0.4mm. You may need to adjust flow rate slightly depending on your specific setup.
Q: Is this nozzle compatible with the E3D V6 clone hotends?
A: Yes, as long as the clone uses the standard M6 thread and follows the E3D V6 geometry, this nozzle should fit correctly.
Q: What is the maximum safe operating temperature for this nozzle?
A: The hardened steel material can withstand temperatures up to 300°C safely. However, please ensure your heater block and thermistor are also rated for these temperatures.
Q: Can I use this with PLA filament, or is it only for carbon fiber?
A: You can absolutely use this with standard PLA. While it is designed for abrasive materials, it works perfectly fine with non-abrasive filaments as well.
