Good quality but requires tuning
The build quality is excellent and feels very sturdy. However, I had to re-tune my PID settings after installation to get stable temperatures. Once dialed in, it works flawlessly.

Solid construction
The machining on the block is precise. Threads are clean and the fit is tight. Only giving 4 stars because the included thermal paste tube was nearly empty.
Q: Does this come with a thermistor?
A: No, this package includes the heater block, heatbreak, and nozzle. You will need to reuse your existing thermistor or purchase one separately if yours is damaged.
Q: How do I install this if I have never done it before?
A: We recommend heating the old hotend to loosen the nozzle, disassembling carefully, and transferring the thermistor and heater cartridge to the new block. Please refer to the official E3D online assembly guides for detailed step-by-step instructions.
Q: Can I use this with a 3mm filament setup?
A: Yes, this heater block supports both 1.75mm and 3.00mm filament diameters, provided you have the corresponding heatbreak and nozzle installed.
Q: What is the maximum safe operating temperature for this block?
A: While the block itself can withstand high heat, the safe operating temperature depends on the nozzle installed. With a standard brass nozzle, we recommend staying below 250°C. For higher temps, please use a hardened steel or ruby nozzle.
