The build quality is solid for the price. I had to adjust the tension on the gears slightly to prevent grinding, but once set, it works flawlessly.
Q: Can I use 2.85mm filament with this extruder?
A: No, this specific model is designed exclusively for 1.75mm filament. Using 2.85mm filament may cause jams and damage the gears.
Q: Does this kit come with a heater cartridge and thermistor?
A: The kit includes the slots and mounting points for standard 12V/24V heater cartridges and thermistors, but the actual electronic components are usually sold separately to match your specific printer voltage.
Q: Does this support flexible filaments like TPU?
A: Yes, the dual drive gear system provides enough grip to handle flexible filaments like TPU, though we recommend printing at slower speeds for best results.
