Works as advertised
Easy to install on my Ender 3. The ability to switch filaments mid-print without pausing is a game changer for my projects.

Robust construction
I've been running this setup for over 200 hours now with ABS and PETG. No clogs, no slipping, and the dual drive mechanism is very reliable.

High flow rate achieved
The volcano hotend allows for much faster printing speeds without compromising layer adhesion. Highly recommend for anyone looking to boost productivity.

Perfect upgrade for multi-color prints
This dual input extruder kit made switching between PLA and support material seamless. The volcano block heats up quickly and maintains temperature well during long prints.

Good kit, instructions could be better
The parts are high quality, but the assembly guide was a bit vague. If you have experience with 3D printer maintenance, you will be fine.

Great value but needs tuning
The build quality is solid for the price. I had to adjust the tension on the gears slightly to prevent grinding, but once set, it works flawlessly.
Q: Can I use 2.85mm filament with this extruder?
A: No, this specific model is designed exclusively for 1.75mm filament. Using 2.85mm filament may cause jams and damage the gears.
Q: Does this kit come with a heater cartridge and thermistor?
A: The kit includes the slots and mounting points for standard 12V/24V heater cartridges and thermistors, but the actual electronic components are usually sold separately to match your specific printer voltage.
Q: Does this support flexible filaments like TPU?
A: Yes, the dual drive gear system provides enough grip to handle flexible filaments like TPU, though we recommend printing at slower speeds for best results.
Q: Is the nozzle interchangeable with standard MK8 nozzles?
A: Since this uses a Volcano block, it requires Volcano-style nozzles, which are longer than standard MK8 nozzles. Please ensure you purchase Volcano-compatible nozzles.
Q: What is the maximum recommended print speed with this setup?
A: With the Volcano hotend providing high melt volume, users typically achieve stable prints at speeds between 80mm/s and 150mm/s, depending on the filament type and layer height.
