Works as advertised
Good upgrade path if you plan to move beyond standard PLA. The ceramic component heats up very quickly.
Q: What is the expected lifespan of the titanium throat?
A: Under normal usage with abrasive filaments, the titanium throat typically lasts 3-5 times longer than standard stainless steel throats, often exceeding 1000 print hours.
Q: Do I need to recalibrate the flow rate after installation?
A: Yes, we strongly recommend performing a flow rate calibration and pressure advance tuning after installing any new hotend components to ensure optimal print quality.
Q: Is this compatible with the original Creality K1 non-MAX version?
A: This specific kit is designed exclusively for the K1C and K1 MAX models due to differences in the hotend assembly geometry. It is not compatible with the original K1.
Q: Can I use this with flexible TPU filament?
A: Yes, the integrated nozzle design works well with TPU, provided you adjust your retraction settings slightly. The smooth path reduces friction for flexible materials.
Q: Does the package include a heater cartridge and thermistor?
A: No, this kit includes the ceramic hotend block, titanium alloy throat, and nozzle only. You will reuse the heater cartridge and thermistor from your existing setup.
