Essential for engineering materials

If you plan on printing glass-filled nylon or anything with chopped fibers, this is mandatory. The stock brass nozzles wear out too fast. This V2.0 kit feels robust and the detachable design makes future nozzle changes much faster than the older glued versions.

Smooth operation on X1C

Solid upgrade but check your settings

The hardware is top-notch. Just remember to update your slicer profiles if you change nozzle diameters later. I stuck with the 0.4mm included here and it prints beautifully. Deducting one star only because the thermal paste tube was nearly empty in my box.

Perfect upgrade for abrasive filaments

Great performance, slightly tricky install

The hotend works flawlessly once installed. I did find detaching the old silicone sock a bit challenging without tearing it, so have a spare ready. The temperature stability is excellent, and I haven't experienced any clogs since the swap.

Q: How often should I replace the hardened steel nozzle?

A: Hardened steel nozzles are significantly more durable than brass ones, especially with abrasive filaments. Under normal usage with carbon fiber or glass fiber materials, they can last 5-10 times longer than brass. Replace it only if you notice extrusion inconsistencies or physical damage.

Q: Can I use this with high-temperature polycarbonate (PC)?

A: The hotend heater and thermistor can reach the temperatures required for PC. However, please ensure you are using an enclosure to maintain ambient temperature and check that your specific filament manufacturer's recommendations align with our printer's maximum safe operating limits.

Q: Does this come with a 0.6mm nozzle option?

A: The standard kit includes a 0.4mm hardened steel nozzle. However, the V2.0 hotend assembly is compatible with all Bambu Lab V2 nozzles, so you can purchase 0.6mm or 0.8mm hardened nozzles separately and swap them easily.

Q: Do I need to perform a flow rate calibration after installing this?
